I am not going to write too much about our time in London, as well, you will probably be hearing LOTS about London soon. But I will talk about a few special things we did and sum our last stop up nicely =)
So the last few days were spent at Caitlin’s cousin’s who lived very close to London. All of her family was so amazing on this trip, and we just loved getting to know them. While we stayed here, we got to spend a lot of time chilling, watching movies and just over all hanging out, winding down a bit from the crazyness of this incredible adventure.
From here, we also visited London. Our first day of visiting London was to do some fun touristy things as it was Kailyn’s first time. So got to try Oyster Ice Cream Treats, consumed at 10:30am, then we did some shopping at Convenant Gardens, as well Hamleys toy shop, because who does not want to check out a 6 story toy shop?
Also we randomy ran into Kate and Chad again! Just too crazy, as they were flying home the next day and we were flying home the day after next. Again, completely unplanned, literally stumbled upon them in the street. So we chatted for a bit, took some pictures, and said our final goodbyes, with promises to visit eachother in our respective home countries. (It will happen one day soon!)
Our last day in London, we left Caitlin’s cousins and checked into a hotel for the night as we had to be at the airport early in the morning, so we tried to stay close to the train station. After checking into our hotel, we went to Madame Toussards, as it was something all of us wanted to do at least once. It was quite alot of fun. After that we showed Kailyn a few of the typical tourist sites like Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar square, “Platform 9 3/4” at Kings Cross.
After that it was time to go get ready to see PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. We knew from the beginning that this was how we would spend the last night of our trip, and I couldn’t have been happier. It was a dream come true. It was fun to get all dolled up and stroll around, while heading to the Opera. The show was INCREDIBLE. I will remember it forever. =)
And after the show that was a wrap…our last night on this adventure. Next day it was time to head home!
