The Balkan Tour Part Six: Kotor

Kotor was another one of our mini stops in between desintations. While we were here, we were given two options.

Option A – Climb a 1400 step fortress in the baking sun. Option B – Chill in the shade with a pizza and a beer. Anita and I choose option A ofcourse. Somehow we managed to survive that climb. It was hot and a tough climb. We had to take many breaks in any shady spots we could find, and drink plenty and plenty of water going up and coming down. However, our perservence was rewarded when we eventually made it to the top for some rewarding views of Kotor!

And a typical photo with the flag, looking utterly exhausted.

After our climb down, we wasted no time in finding a restaurant to have a delicious pasta lunch in. After said lunch, our time in pretty Kotor was ending with gelato and a relaxing foot soak in the wonderful Adriatic water.

Turns out that Kotor was our introduction to a very interesting time in Montenegro.
