An Afternoon in Portsmouth

The tail end of January brought me to Portsmouth for a Saturday afternoon, in attempt to chase away the January blues by visiting the sea and some ships.

Portsmouth was adorable and very quaint. It turned out to be a cute day trip away from London, and it was glorious to be by the sea and take in all the fresh air.

My favourite part was walking along the wall and up the tower, following the coastline and watching all the ships and ferries. Along the way I also found a beautiful church ruin to explore.  I enjoyed a delcious fish and chips lunch at the Spice Island Inn. Then ended off the afternoon tucked away in a cafe with tea and my book.

There were a few other things in Portsmouth to sea – such as the historic dockyard ships and the Spinnaker tower, however I choose to just relax and wander this time around around.

Highly reccomend Portsmouth as a day trip destination.
