I did not read as much in April as I did in March but I did read three very different books!
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne: A classic! One I can’t believe I went to along with not reading. It was really good! It set quite a faced paced adventure, and even though was very heavy on the ocean knowledge, I still found it enjoyable to read and loved the “cliffhanger” ending. Will make a point of reading more Jules Verne.
Green Angel Tower Part One by Tad Williams: Finally starting to enjoy this fantasy series just in time for it to be ending ha ha. Not sure what it was about this one that had me hooked, maybe it was that I am finally invested in the characters and the story. I read through this one much quicker then last, and now only one more to go before seeing the end of Simon and group epic adventure.
The Versions of Us by Laura Barnett: A recommendation from a friend that was well recieved. The story follows the journey of a couple’s lifetime, being told in three different versions, eachversion changing on wether they said yes or no to a moment in the very beginning but how they continue to show up in each others lives even if each version of that life is different. I love the interplay of fate and how people can be a part of our lives as they were meant to be, even if we did say no at first. It is a bit tricky to read, you must be very switched on to stay focused on which version is which but one I am really enjoying!
That was all for this month, hoping for more reading time in May.
